Sex Toy

Anyone else laugh when Bronson whipped out that kids masturbation toy?
It looked so old technology wise too. the motor and everything on it was huge.
Made me lmao, but ive got a weird sense of humor.

reply

"What is it Warren? That's right, it's for jackin' off!" That's almost as bad as in Kinjite when Bronson's character actually assrapes a guy with a sex toy.
Yeah, and to think that this movie pre-dated the "Anal Intruder" from Top Secret by a whole year!!!

reply

lol are you serious?
i might have to check out Kinjite.

Do you really need to write "lol"???

reply

Poopsey, you really have a thing against "lol", don't you? 2 years ago and last night. 🤣

reply

Hate it mate, absolutely revile it. Why can't people type/write in the English language?

reply

I know it's overused. But it's very convenient. It's a good way to express that you're amused and maybe chuckled to yourself. Certain contractions gain popularity in the English language because they are very useful. Is there a better way to say you are laughing to yourself?

reply

"What is it Warren? That's right, it's for jackin' off!"

I haven't watched this movie in years, but that line will randomly pop in my head causing a chuckle.

reply

That thing looked scary. I hope it was UL listed.

reply

Watching them excise that scene from the tv version was priceless.

What's funnier is that...is that sex toy illegal or something?? What does it have to do with a murder investigation? So he uses it to rub out his johnson, it's not against the law. I think it more for shock value...with the consensus among us being that it mostly got a huge laugh instead. "It's for jackin' off, isn't it!!!"

reply

I think it was just to intimidate him with, like saying "You can't get a girl, so you play with machines." LOL

reply

I remember watching this movie for the first time and it was with my parents. When that sex gizmo got pulled out we were all just so embarassed. Now it's about all I can remember about the film - I think it usually gets censored of a few scenes when shown on UK TV.
I gotta find out what makes a man decide not to run, why, all of a sudden, he'd rather die

reply

Yeah, talk about classic 'ewwwwwww'.

That thing looked like it needed a few bottles of 409 and around 157 handi-wipes...

Wait a minute... who am I here?

reply

As I think about, Bronson was always fussy about germs. He wouldn't shake people's hands because he was afraid of catching a cold...How did they get him to touch that thing?

reply

It looked pretty modern to me, but I'm not up on my sex toys.

reply

I just watched it after many years on comcast On Demand.

The sex toy is actually first shown when Bronson uses the killers bathroom when they stop by to casually question him. He finds it while snooping around. An intersting thing I missed, is that as Bronson is flushing the toilet, on top of the toilet is a nudie magazine, a pic of someone looking over their shoulder, showing off teh ass. Only it kinda looks like a guy. I rewinded and paused (which is hard to do with On Demand) and was able to freeze it on that 2 second shot. It is a guy, so there is a hint the killer is gay or bi.

@WarpedRecord

The sex toy is not modern at all. The motor/battery attachment is approaching the size of a 2 liter bottle. Probably between a 1 liter and 2 liter. Nowadays all of that could be contained in something around the size of a half can of soda.

reply

Earlier in the film, Gene Davis' character is blow drying his hair, and at first I thought that is what Charles Bronson was throwing on the table!
I noticed the gay magazine on back of the toilet tank also. It was such a brief shot, whatever the film maker's were trying to suggest had to be lost on the audience; it was on me because there was no (other) suggestion of the killer being gay or bisexual.

reply

Hahahahahhahahahah... nicely done!

"What is FOR?...... it's JACKIN' OFF!, isn't it?"

(not too subtle there, Charlie...)

One of Bronsons greatest film moments!! He's just trying to piss off the whackjob serial killer into making a mistake by wagging this thing around. Still cracks me up.
"I dont remember any of it. Did I see it?"

reply

Also emphasized the fact that Warren wasn't getting any... because "girls won't have anything to do with him"

reply

Even though it was classic the way Bronson dealt with it,imagine the cold stare Eastwood would have gave the kid a stare as if to say "sicko" without utterring a word... and Peter Falk probably would have kept grinning and scattching his forehead with an unlit cigar in his hand while "beating" around the bush with,"Sir,we went through your apartment and..?? Well, I'm not sure how to put this. I guess I am just old and don't don't get some things. It's actually quite embarrassing. You see, my wife is very much a prude. We can't even have r rated betamaxes. Well, what I'm tryna say Sir is... Do you beat ya meat ? Are you a desperate bxxxx?.. a booty bandit?"

reply

Haahahah, @faced - you know your Columbo. Good one.

Just when you thought Racism couldn't get any more Racismer.

I laughed because it looked like a scene from a Naked Gun movie, then reading zillion29's post I find out it was from Top Secret. Bronson's scene had that sense of the absurd about it, and the quick cutaway sealed the deal.

reply

How bout the look on Bronson's face when he first pulls it out from under the sink? Would be the ultimate avatar the way his eyes are bugged like, "What in the name of John Wayne is this freakin' thing?"

Could never really tell if it was a gay porno mag, but it would lend to Warren's attempt to try and throw the cops off his trail as a lady killer for them to think he was bent.

"If I had ya where I wanted ya, they'd be pumpin your ass full of formaldehyde!"
