Hi......I've read 'Woman of Substance' SO MANY times! It is an absolutely wonderful read, one I'd recommend to any woman....the best of Barbara Taylor Bradford's books by far. I"ve seen the mini-series, in fact I bought the two DVD's and now that I'm reading the book for the umpteenth time, I will watch the movie again when I finish the book. Do read the book! Any woman I know who has read it LOVES the book!
sharei love the mini seris but i found the book went into too much detail about what size and colour a table was but i will try reading it again

I have all 6 books and they were definately worth the read!! I hope they make a movie for every book.
shareI have read several of her books, however, my favorite is the emma harte saga.
my all time favorite...an awesome read...I also saw the movie and the characters were phenominal... because of the movie I was able to put a face to the younger and the older emma harte...jenny seagrove and deborah kerr were exceptional...great casting!
