Jenny Seagrove and Barry Bostwick were hopeless

I was slightly surprised as she was bearable in the first episode, when a maid. But she was so hopeless when trying to show emotion...and my God, what on earth was Bostwick's accent?

Thank God Miranda Richardson saw sense and didn't return for the next part.

Still, it was quite fun!

I think that she became emotionally repressed after Edwin practically abandoned her. She was disillusioned to a degree and she didn't really love her husband, she was just going along with it for security. But she was always quite "lit up" when Blackie was on the scene. Other than that she was full of hatred and was just hell bent on destroying the Fairleys in that steely-faced manner she ordinarily adopted.
