Filming location!

When I was in a nearby high school my dad took me to watch them film some of the first episode, because he knew the stunt man who doubled for Robert Olkewicz's character Marko. It was in a big, green, hilly and beautiful area just outside of Santa Clarita, CA that was privately owned by an oil company...anyways, it was the scene where a lightening bolt struck a tree and they both decided to jump over it instead of go around the tree. Hank Calia, the stuntman, told me it was a comedy because of that!
I also remember that the castle that they ride off to in the opening credits was a big model set against the nearby hills, shot in a way called "forced perspective."

Fun times, and I thought the show was actually pretty cool too. So glad that it got an official release on DVD!

Btw, the original title on the set was called 'Greystone's Odyssey'...
