There are still some 80's sitcoms that have not made it to DVD!

All right right now I am not too happy that I am starting to see other sitcoms come out on DVD box sets and some of my favorite ones before my teenage yeas have not been placed on DVD yet! What is the problem here and why is it taking so long to do this?

I feel that some of these shows should be on DVD long before a lot of these newer shows that are on now! Does anyone else agree with me on this?

I agree with ya...but not alot we can do. Alot of the great 80's shows only get 1 or 2 seasons released. Sad but true.

I am glad that you agree with me but it is sad though that no one has tried to put them out on DVD though. I think that is totally stupid to release them only on and two seasons only when a lot of the shows from the 80's lasted more than just a couple of seasons. I know there are some shows that lasted like 5 or more seasons.

I loved watching The Fall Guy when I was a kid and I have the complete first season and I am still waiting on them to release the second season or more so I can watch it.

Yeah I have the fall guy also...but I think sometimes they price them to high so most people say hmmm that seems like a lot. Especially in this economy. I bought the fall guy on sale I think for 40...reg price was 50 when it came out. I have tons of 80's shows on dvd because I look at it and say well...its something I'll watch more then once so its worth the price. I'm still waiting for the other seasons of Chips and differen't strokes just to name too, but not sure if they'll get released. Would love to get Bj and the bear on dvd as well.

I think I bought mine for like $30.00 from Walmart a couple of years ago. I am not sure it has been a while. I would love to see BJ And The Bear on DVD box set because I loved watching that show! The thing is that a lot of these shows are not shown anymore and it would help if they would show it. I know that CHiPS use to be shown a lot on TBS and TNT back in the day about 20 years ago and then they quit showing it about the early 2000's. Yeah I hate their system on what they do. I mean like Webster should be shown on ABC FAMILY Channel or on TV LAND, Nick@Nite or any other network to be honest with you.

I agree webster should be aired or released on dvd. I'm also waiting for the wonder years to come to dvd. I have the series on dvd but not an official release. Shout factory has been doing a good job of releasing certain shows even though they didn't sell well in stores. The worse thing is when they release one or two seasons and then just stop. I have several shows that only got 2 or 3 seasons released and then they stop releasing the other seasons.

I know I have Mr. Belvedere and I loved that show! I was 13 years old when that show first came on ABC. It was on my birthday. I never saw that show in reruns like I did with Who's The Boss and Growing Pains which I was not too happy about that at all. When I bought Mr. Belvedere from Best Buy it was the first season and season two as well. Then they released in March of last year the third season. SHOUT claimed that it did not do so well in stores and released that if anyone wanted to buy the fourth season they had to buy it through them.

I am still waiting on Valerie/The Hogan Family/The Hogans to be released on DVD box set.

Yeah I have all 4 seasons of Mr Belvedere also. Great show...still funny to this day. I've been waiting for the hogan family also but not sure that one will make it. I bought growing pains season 1, didnt get who's the boss yet. They have been airing that show on hallmark I think. I bought small wonder season 2 from shout, quality was ok but the master tapes havent been taken care of.

That is great to hear that you have all 4 seasons of Mr. Belvedere. That is the show that I love to watch and it is sad that they do not get shown in reruns like Who's The Boss and Growing Pains. You would think that ABC Family Channel would be airing Mr. Belvedere since ABC use to air Mr. Belvedere back in the mid 80's to the early 90's. They went off before Who's The Boss and Growing Pains. That is cool that you have season one of Growing Pains! Yes I have seen them airing Who's The Boss on The Hallmark Channel. WOW! I did not know that they have Small Wonder out on DVD! I loved watching that show as a kid! I always thought the actress that played Vicki was hot! I am now 38 years old and still think she is hot! That is sad to hear that the did not take care of the master tapes. I remember when I believe FOX Channel use to show that along with It's A Living on the weekends when I was a kid and other shows as well. KPLR TV Channel 11 out of St. Louis, Missouri use to show Small Wonder as well. Man todays generation is missing out on good entertainment that we grew up watching!

yeah tv shows aren't what they use to be. Season 1 of small wonder was very good quality. Season 2 for some reason wasn't as good quality wise. Hopefully 3 will be better. Lets keep our fingers crossed that some of the other shows get released soon. Alot of the shows are still pretty funny when you watch em today.

No todays TV shows are not as good as they use to be. It seems like family comedy is starting to disappear. I can remember when there were tons of family shows to watch during the week, on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Not now though. Cool that season 1 of Small Wonder was good but I am sorry about season 2 though. That is not good that it was not any good at all. I mean quality wise. Yeah I also hope that season 3 will be good quality as well.

I saw a website where it talks about past stars. Most have been on drugs and have stuffed their careers.

But Vicki from "Small Wonder" went on to become a nurse, and seems to just lead a normal, purposeful life. She seemed to come out of the child star thing pretty well.
