scenes cut?

Okay, am I crazy? I seem to remember a scene of the rains while Meggie was staying with that couple in Queensland, and of Jussie screaming quite a bit, and Meggie saying that Justine didn't seem to belong to her. None of this is on the DVD I own. Am I remembering wrong? I also thought there was a scene when Fee learned of Frank's death, and thought the scene when Ralph told Meggie about Dane wanting to be a priest being longer.

The set I own is not two-sided. I must have a different edition.

I thought I remembered a scene where Fee found out Frank had died in jail. And I know I didn't dream that scene of the rains in Queensland, and how miserable Meggie was, with Justine screaming the whole time. It was so memorable. Yet I haven't seen anyone else mention it or complain about it. The whole series seemed like it was quite a bit longer than what I have on DVD. Frustrating.

Fee was told of Frank's death in Thorn Birds: The Missing Years (1993).

I thought at the end of the original, when they are taking Dane's body to the family cemetery that there was a shot of Frank's name on a headstone/tomb when they were showing all Cleary family members buried there....

Of course in the book Frank didn't die, and he returned home to live out his days gardening as neither he or his brothers wanted him in the paddocks...
