pre political correctness

i got the DVD recently and saw the episode where Texas Pete tries to rob a goldmine. When They sent a message to superted he almost misses it. Spotty sees the end and tells superted he saw a black man in front of a spinning wheel. Superted says the wheel means a mine. Then Superted says 'a black man? Ah! that could mean Africa!". Mayby we were not so PC in 1983. Not overly racist but abit dodgy. Still it shows how we have changed.

how is that a bit dodgy?
it COULD mean africa...
yeah...and? whats wrong with that.

reply

I didn't think there was anything wrong with that I was just saying that you would not get that today as the political correctness lobby would definatly go ape. These days they would probably identify Africa with table mountain or something like that.

which is exactly why the political correctness these days is over the top and a total waste of any normal persons time.
not that im saying anything against u noticing it, im just saying in general political correctness is time wasting and stupid.

I agree, it was funny to see something on a kids show which is so directly un-pc. The shock of it is what made me laugh

Superted was PC as a cartoon you can get.

PC was around in the early 80s when this cartoon was made. The whole thing is as camp as a warehouse full of tents!!

Its that man again!!
