Which INTRO song is best ?

Personaly I like the old intro song better than the new one. Probably because I was used to it. Remakes "almost" never do the original justice. Trivia question for you all: Who sang the "Reading Rainbow" song?

reply

Chaka Khan, best known for her top 10 pop hit "I'm every woman."

Butterfly on my balls,
Making long distance calls,
Just take a look,
He's such a crook,
He's stealing cable.

I also think the same thing. The older version rocks!

You know, GPN, the company who produces Reading Rainbow, released all episodes on DVD in 2004 and re-released all VHS versions with the new version of the theme song. It's a pity they can't convert them back.

Butterfly in the sky *beep*

I think it's Tina Weir.

The original artist was Tina Fabrik--

Does anyone know whereto get the original song as an mp3 file???

reply

I agree...I like the old one too, it just came on and I'm just like "WTF, what happened to the theme song?"

reply

I think what's best about the show is the LeVar really seems like a nice guy. Not at all cocky or arrogant.

I've met him and got him to sign a reading rainbow picture me and a friend made. Since all the reading rainbow logos on the internet were too low quality to use we had to trace over it. He was super nice and said he loved working on this show and hoped that they would make more. He said he was talking to the studio trying to get more made. He signed my picture and wrote "Keep Reading!" in the speach bubble I put on it. He was super nice the whole time the only thing remotely bad was when he said the crowd was damn thick trying to get down to the guest signing area.

The original theme song is better; i agree!

The original song was sung by Tina Fabrique.

reply

The original is the best. When I watch RR at home, I'll mute the new version.

Ben Grimm forever!

Tina Fabrique? Thanks for that info.
