Linc Beecham vs. Lorna Forbes. The Beechams were a rich family seeking to take over some business or business market from the Aldens/Forbes, so they were very hostile to one another. Lorna was a really nasty, spoiled rich girl, while Linc was the youngest of the Beecham brothers who took a liking to her, despite her acidic attitude towards him. After a few hostile verbal encounters, Linc somehow convinces Lorna to go out with him to an upper class, posh restaurant. She keeps on sniping at him, until he says, "You're just waiting for a man to come along and treat you like the way you want to be treated". Lorna is FURIOUS, and throws her wine into his face. He retaliates by throwing his wine all over her dress. At first she can't believe he just did that (she's a lady, after all). Then she goes to slap him. He catches her hand and warns her, "Where I come from, you take a poke at somebody, you're liable to get poked back". This only further infuriates her, not believing a guy would ever hit her, but based on the look he gives her, she believes him and relents. But boy, if looks could kill, he'd be a pile of burnt, pulverized flesh and bones. She stalks out of the restaurant.

They go on to have more arguments and verbal fights, but eventually they fall in love and make nice. Anyway, that restaurant scene was really memorable and funny how pissed she was at him.
