Don't suppose anyone taped it?

I'd be interested if anyone has it for trade or maybe sale?

I think about this show from time to time and wonder if it's as decent now as it was then...I'm going to troll the internets to see what I can find.

Did you have any success in finding episodes? I was an actor on the episode "Minneapolis: Six Months Down" at the time it aired it never occurred to me to tape it. I would like to obtain a copy. I cannot find it on youtube. I have other shows on there but not that one. I do know that it aired in Spain a month or two ago because I SAG tells me I will be getting a royalty check this quarter. If it shows the details maybe it is re-running again there and we can view it via the internet. If I get any info, I will post it here.

I've discovered the trailer for it you tube. It looked from the trailer, the most ridiculous premise for a tv show. But it sounds quite entertaining, in a naive 80s way.

The only episode I remember watching was the one I was an actor on. I thought it was pretty decent.

I'm 99% certain it never screened over here in the UK. That said, I expect it would have been quite well received, it was a bit miserable here in 1983/84 what with the recession and Margaret Thatcher in charge.

I'm not too sure what made me think of this show. Maybe it was a poker game I was recently in.

The episode that sparked my recollection had to do with a poker game where a $1 lottery ticket had been thrown in several times as the dealer's ante. When Ben shows up and tells the players that the ticket is a winner, the participants freak out. One of them even raises by a dollar to intimidate the other players and Ben says something like "I don't think you're going to bluff anyone out of this pot". When they all show their cards, each hand is better than the one before it. Culminating (I think) in a Royal Flush.

Anyway, it was a pretty cheesy show but I remember being entertained. I'm a little surprised that there were 17 episodes that were actually made. The premise seems like it would run outa gas after only a few.

I was a young teenager when this originally aired, I haven't seen it since (30+ years now) but I have such fond memories at the time loving it! Only wish I could track all episodes down, oneday I will.

This is the same episode I remembrr..lol

But when i explain the premise to my friends they always ask how did the IRS and/or lottery company know who the winner was?

I suppose it was more like a "draw" where people put their names in? But no lottery company knows every person who purchases a $1 ticket.
