If you do remake this, please show their homosexuality.

First of all, I'm not trying to troll, I'm just gay.

These two were into women, but also so obviously in a sexual relationship with each other. The show was all about male flesh and M4M tension and not-so-subtle homoeroticism, all the guys dressed like gay porno. So many double entendres and innuendo.

So all you cannibals out there in Hollywood, we've come to a time in our society where this kind of thing can and should be shown on the screen without worry of financial loss.

I`m sorry for my lack of manners, but I`m not used to escorting men.

Yes I heard they're calling it Hardcock and McCornhole

Good grief. They were not gay. McCormick had several girlfriends and hardcastle was a widower.

reply

Yes, they were bi. However, if they screw each other without a woman present, it's still considered gay sex.

Why should sexual preference play ANY roll in any TV show or movie or anything in life. Love who you want to love and marry who you want marry life is too short. But to write into a script someone's sexual preference just because is wrong. If it has no bearing on the plot why do it.
I don't go around telling people my sexuality. It is not and should not be relevant to ANY part of my life or job.
And the truly divisive people and haters will question my sexuality based on my comments. They may be shocked to learn my sexuality. We are all humans. That all we need to share about ourselves. No need to advertise whom I am attracted to intimately. And especially not on. TV show UNLESS it is relevant to the episode. If it is not relevant why must they write a scene to show they may be gay!!!??? Did that help them solve the crime. Ridiculous!!!

reply

Um... so that applies to straight people as well as gay and bi people, right? Therefore, the original show should never have shown them being sexually attracted to women.

I hear this all the time. "I don't go around telling people my sexuality." And I hear this from people who express a sexual interest in someone else once in awhile or talk about whoever they are romantically involved in or married to.

This is why we no longer get good buddy comedies anymore. Modern society doesn't have a place for Milt and Mark's relationship. We sadly are now stuck with 3 categories when guys are close: They are gay, biological relations, or they have to be arms length macho friends.

Once upon a time, guys could "love" each other in a way that is closer than a brother, but still be straight.

It is a shame we have lost this...

Agee with above.... Leave it to the gay guy to see every male friendship as a gay situation. We live in sad times..

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man....

Agee.

Oh please, we still have this all the time. I just saw the 2016 Blair Witch and Heather's brother has a best friend and they express their love for each other and are otherwise safely heterosexual... still not a sign of any homosexuality in the almost 10 installments of Blair Witch. So F off with your supposed victimhood.

Really?! Homosexuality? Judge Hardcastle was most likely twice Mark McCormick's age! Totally inappropriate. 
Plus, you can tell that Mark was into girls. No homosexuality there (not that there is anything wrong with that).
And even if the Mark character was portrayed as gay, that wouldn't change my opinion of him-he'd still be hot in my eyes. 

so obviously in a sexual relationship with each other.

Um, no, not obvious. Not covert or overt.

Can't two guys live in the same house without being in a physical relationship?

For that matter, can't two people live in the same house (or work in the same place) without being shipped? Every time a TV show has a male and female in the main cast, people automatically suggest that the two "have" to get together.  It's annoying and trite.

I watched the whole series, and there wasn’t a hint, scintilla or jot of a clue there was a gay relationship. The OP was projecting his agenda onto the show.

Oh good grief, the “love that dare not speak its name” has become the “love that won’t shut the hell up”.

That was funny . . . 20 years ago.
