Just two things wrong with the film

1. The hokey accent that Robin Ellis affected
2. The hokey accent that Vickery Turner affected

They should have just used two American (or Western Canadian) actors for those roles. Hearing them speak every line was like hearing fingernails on a chalkboard every time, much the same as when American actors play Britons.

Oceania is at war with Eastasia. Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia.

Another thing I can't stand is when a character in a British setting who is supposed to be an American is speaking in 'British terminology'....it sounds so dopey.

As far as Vickery Turner - that was one of the worst acting jobs I've ever seen and I don't wonder why I've necer seen her before. She was horrendous.

I thought their accents were good. I looked up both actors and they are both married to Americans, so that must be why.
