So by now we know that there isn't going to be a season 4 and to complete our collection we have to buy this set. However, my question is about the extras on this complete set. I have seasons 1-3 but are the extras on the complete set the same as those found on the complete set?
shareI made the plunge. I bought the complete series, shelled out the $140. In addition I am keeping my individual seasons as well. This show was so good when I was growing up and now get to see how it ends.

sharei am joining many others and boycotting the complete set. do they take us for idiots. i was happy to shell out cash for seasons 1, 2 and 3. they were beautiful sets. season 4 is now easy to find as a torrent. mine finished downloading yesterday. i will still buy season 4 if it comes out individual.
shareI refuse to buy the complete set. I wrote HIT the nastiest email (no curses or threats but very nasty). It's a complete disgrace to Jim Henson that they would do this. The complete set has a very low rating on Amazon. A lot of people are very upset. Also, I heard the packaging sucks and there are no cute little extras like Henson's notebook or anything.
Honestly, they have one more season to go. They would be financial idiots to NOT release it separately.

I wouldnt buy it either......even though i havent bought the individual seasons as yet either...I had the good luck to tape every single episode back when they ran on TNT in the early 90's so havent rushed to get the dvd's (they ran Fraggle and the Muppet show back to back...taped all those too) The last season would be the one I would most like to have anyway....

Well. Considering I haven't bought the sets yet, this is probably going to be my next purchase. I am irritated that they did this after releasing the first three. That's so stupid.

Yeah, I nearly did a double-take when I saw that price at BJ's. Shame they didn't include the replica of Jim Henson's notebook from the season one set, though.
The packaging IS horrible, though. Exactly HALF of the 20 discs in the set were floating free inside the case and already heavilly scuffed when I opened it up. Plus, the center box won't stay shut, so I have to lay the box flat to keep it in place.
Honestly, this package is horribly-designed.
yea the packing was total crap but the price was worth it to me and I have the season replica notebook I bought season 1 when it came out thank god that was the only one I bought.
shareWow looking at what everyone has gone through to get their season 4 makes me glad that I ordered mine from Australia a few years ago along with the complete animated series. I Have seperate Box sets for season 1-4 and I also have my complete series set. I like the packaging for the boxset however those of you who bought it at BJ's aren't the only ones who are having trouble keeping it closed, I got mine from BestBuy and its still rough to keep closed.
Anyway I am greatful that I have all that I do especially the
COMPLETE ANIMATED SERIES, it makes for great Saturday mornings with my kids :)

Same content, normal style packaging, which should eliminate the scratching problems with the old packaging. When I heard about all the problems with the old packaging, I didn't buy it. I'm so glad I waited for new packaging.

In Australia I bought the series seperately two for $15 so $7.50 each, if I wanted to buy the box set it would be $84 or the Special Edition Box set for $126.
