Anybody got scared by this show?

I did, anyone else?

I still get scared by this show, and I'm 28! Well I mean not literally scared, but there are some scary parts or some I found inappropriate. And alot of music on the show can be really eerie at times, but it's cool.

Any times any of the Fraggles got trapped in a cave and the ceiling collapses, or if they get really sick, or freeze, or fall down chasms, that's what I'm talking about.

I can't wait for Volume 3! Anyone know when it's coming? I haven't seen it on the shelves yet.

Oh God. That "Hoooooooo" voice is by far THE scariest thing from Fraggle Rock. Ever.

Other things from Fraggle Rock that spook me are the ditzies from "The Day the Music Died," plus the eerie music that played when the lights started going out at the beginning of the episode. Then there's the cave of shadows in "Pebble Pox Blues." Both the shadows AND the music are just spooky.

And for some reason I've always been scared of Rhyming Rock. I mean, it's an inanimate object that rocks back and forth on its own and has a deep, echoey voice that comes from nowhere. Not to mention I can kind of see a face on the rock (well, part of a nose and mustache, anyway). Forget magic; it's STILL scary!

Yes!!! The Terrible Tunnel episode is beyond freaky!!! Jim Henson had a way of giving his work an eeriness about it.

Yes! Whatever those giant, hairy troll things were that lived outside of Fraggle Rock and tried to eat the Fraggles were effing scary!

"First you ask if you can be red, knowing that I'm always red."

I seriously just got the chills deep down to the BONE when I read the posts about the hi dee, hooooo part. I had forgotten that. I just saw an episode the other day that I remember years and years and years ago. Boober and Red were trapped in a cave and I believe the ceiling had collapsed and they were running out of air and they asked each other what they thought it would be like to do. It made me really think that maybe this show was meant to span the generations and not just be for children.

Yes, I was scared by the Gorgs (especially when they played scary music to accompany them - like when Red has her helping club and volunteers to help Pa Gorg and he's all like, "he he he" - eek!)

I was scared of Wander McMooch - he's just nasty.

The Trash Heap's hollow eyes got to me sometimes - reminded me of the awful picture from "Stories to Tell in the Dark" of the lady with no eyes -ugh! That still gives me nightmares.

I wasn't scared by episodes that showed the Fraggle's mortality - like in "Marooned!" where Red and Boober are in a cave in and realize they are running out of air and discuss what death might be like. Rather, I was really touched and cried for them (both as a kid and as an adult.)

But yes, "Hidey.... HOOOOOO...." was the creepiest moment EVER of Fraggle Rock!! Stuck with me for years!

I watched a few episodes with a 3 year old and i could tell he couldn't understand why the fraggles lived underground. The dark mossy caverns filled with weird talking rocks and strange deep sea style creatures must seem like a horrible nightmare compared to our sunny world! I'd like to see a remake that brings some beauty and wonder to the caves that wasn't possible on the CBC budget!

totally agree. It was something I made nightmares about. I think if I remember correctly my mom forbid me to watch that afterward ( I was probably 6 ). The big eyes of the puppets were terrifying to me and Im not even talking about the horrible giant troll monster.. brings back very scared memories. Even now being an adult I think I developed a phobic reaction to this show seriously. I was a shy easly impressed boy and that show really didnt do me good.

No I wasn't scared of this show as a kid. I used to watch movies like The Labrytih, The Never ending story, and The Gremlins.
