Yes, there was a Fraggle Rock cartoon, ran for a few years after the TV show.
As another poster mentioned, Doc does eventually get to meet the Fraggles. It's the last two episodes of the series and I believe they are both on YouTube and on Netflix to watch. It's a pretty touching way to close out the show.

I actually thought the last episode was a little overthought. A new tunnel opens up and leads the Fraggles to Doc's new house across the country?
They could've easily just made use of the room Gobo and Matt found that has transports to a ton of different locations in 'outer space'.
Still, decent ending to the series.
