Yes or no?

Do you think they ever made it back home? :)

According to the Easter Egg in Diablo II, they were eaten by Tiamat.

Yes, I believe they did make it back home because of Terry’s vision in season 2’s finale.

I think Bobby made it home because Terri had a precognitive dream where she was reunited with him after school and he returned the heart-shaped pendant she gave him. Dungeon Master told Bobby the dream and confirmed that it would happen.

(This all happened in the Girl Who Dreamed episode.)

So precognitive dream + Dungeon Master's omniscience = yes.

Whether the other kids made it home too is unknown. I think there was talks about writing Bobby and Uni out of the series as they were unpopular so this could've been the foundations for getting rid of him without having him being eaten by Tiamat. Presumably with the absence of Bobby Uni would have returned to her unicorn tribe (shown in the Lost Valley Of The Unicorns episode).

Yes, it an episode that was written but never produced except as a radio show called "Requim", which is included in the box set disk 5, the script is also online, check it out, secrets are revealed and it does have an interesting twist

Thanks, you all pretty much answered a question I had. Somehow I got it into my head that the real reason the group never made it home was that events+circumstances were always sort of "cosmicly stacked" towards encouraging them to return to the realm rather than go home or stay home when they had the perfect opportunity. What I thought I heard/read was that it was "stacked" this way because they all actually died on the D&D ride in the amusement park and they could only continue to live in the realm, and the only reason Dungeon Master never told them that they were dead in their world was that it would have upset their motivations and he would likely be seen as the user he was.

It appears that my information, or just my memories, on this were largely incorrect. I think I've gotten my plots mixed up with the Chronicles of Narnia as there are just enough similarities.
