Remake

Anyone think this part of Australia's history should get to see the light of day again with a feature film remake? Oly make it two hours this time, the miniseries is damn hard going in one sitting! Just watched it, interesting to watch the old filming style of twenty years ago, almost tacky! Used the "frame freeze when the narative voice kicks in" technique that's made a big comeback in recent cinema. Thought John Stanton as the evil Malcolm Fraser did the best acting job, he seemed to be in the film more than Max Phipps as Whitlam. Or is just that my imagination? Thought Carl Schultz's Episode 4 was the best, lots of handheld camera. But I digress, I'd love to see a new feature film version of this story...
