Did the Bill ever cover Freemasons?

Did freemasons and alleged police corruption within it, was ever covered in a story line?

there was an episode in 1999/2000 where they discover c.si Brownlow and a suspected corrupt councillor were members of the same masonic lodge. They had it mentioned in the paper to discredit Brownlow but he wasn't guilty. Sorry i couldn't tell you the episode name it was when they started doing 2 to3 part episodes

Just watched a 1989 episode called CONSCIENCE(bought series 6 dvd boxed set.)

The 30 minute episode is a 2 hander with Burnside an a ex star of the yard debating the result of an investigation they were both on years before.

The debate happens in a pub and Burnside says that people get promoted by being freemasons on Catholic guild but the ex senior officer says it is a myth,I think there were several comments over the years about senior officers being masons but the whole masons angle seemed to be old fashioned, younger officers never seemed to mention it.

The episode you are talking about was called TELL IT WITH FLOWERS. It was about a dead councillor and his links to massage parlours.
