The Chipmunks from The Alvin Show meet the Chipmunks from Alvin and the Chipmunks. They trade places and throw their Daves into a tizzy. At the end Clyde Crashcut(sp?)takes the Alvin Show Chipmunks home and tells them to fasen their seatbelts, a new invention of his. Am I insane?????? Did it really happen???? HELP!!!!!!!!

shareIt did happen. It was in the next to last season I think, just before they turned into 'the Chipmunks go to the Movies'.
For some reason the last 3 seasons aren't played with original series in syndication or on Cartoon Network. I don't know what the deal is, but like the Smurfs, there's about 2 or 3 seasons of the show sitting in a vault somewhere.

yes it did I rememberd watching it, they go back in time on a Playground marry go round thing and modern Alvin plays the Harmonica to the old dave. The old chimpmucks dont want to go back home at the end as well they like all the new toys like walkmans etc

You guys are confusing two episodes....the one with the 2 different sets of Chipmunks (and Clyde Crashcup) was episode #105, Season 6, called "Back to Alvin's Future" (also available on VHS all on it's own). The episide where the Chipmunks go back in time to 1962 to help Dave (via the merry-go-round in the park) is from Season 5, Episode #88 called "Back to Dave's Future".

I only saw the Merry-Go Round one. I remember watching the rerun back on FOX. I know of Back to Alvin's Future though, I've seen the VHS somewhere...
