i remember when i was little seeing a show on i nickelodean that had alvin and the chipmunks on it and shorts i think of two scientists? anyone know what im talking about ?

Can it be "The Alvin Show" from 1961-62? It featured the crazy inventor Clyde Crashcup and his assistant Leonardo.
