How did you first get into this series?

I first got into this series when I was a little kid, and they were showing the off-network 65-episode syndicated version on my local Fox affiliate; KTTV 11. What about you?

My recollections are rather vague, but I seem to recall completing my school work and watching them on whatever network they were being broadcast on in the mid-nineties.
