Dave's appearance in Season 3

Anyone else notice how he has a lot more distinct facial features? I was watching Chip Off the Old Tooth/Three Alarm Alvin (s3) on Kisscartoon and he has dimples and a more tired looking expression and thicker eyebrows. Much more detailed than season 1 and 2. It's really odd lol. Haven't watched the other s3 episodes (well I may have but I haven't seen them since I was a kid and wouldn't remember any) to see if it was just that particular one.
