The show needed a female from MASH

It probably would have been too much to ask for Houlihan to be on the show, but I think one of her nurses would have been a good addition. Seeing Potter, Klinger, and Father Mulcahy together again was a good idea but it needed a touch of femininity to tie it together. Nurse Kellye would have been a good fit. She was the chubby Hawaiian nurse. She was likable and I really liked how much of a fleshed out individual she was.

It's just too bad the writing for the show was so bad. Some of the dialog was worthy of a face palm.

The entire show is on YouTube if anybody wants to watch it.

They certainly did, although MASH didn't really have any primary female characters, except for Hot Lips, and maybe Kellye. The show needed a second female lead.

I vote Nurse Kellye since I don't like Houlihan. (Had to bite my fingers from typing in another name for her). And since it's her voice you hear as the hospital announcer in the pilot episode, they could have easily signed her on as a nurse working at the VA hospital.
