New Blu Ray release

Just finished watching my copy minutes ago. Spectacular looking print/transfer! Mono audio is nice and clear and 'thudy' when it needs to be. Highly recommended for all SB and martial arts fans!

Nice one, is it worth upgrading from the Shaws DVD?

reply

I think so. I'm basing that opinion on the copies of other comparable similar era films, (5 Deadly Venoms, Enter The Dragon and The Heroic Ones - which I have the dvd's of as well). I don't have a copy of F.E.N. on dvd but from all accounts it should a worthy upgrade.

How many SB blurays out there? Is it possible to make more??

reply

Anyone know if there's any chance of this one coming back into print (North America?)

EDIT: Okay, I actually found and ordered one at BarnesAndNoble.com, hopefully they actually have it in stock.

EDIT 2: Well, I was afraid this would happen. The shipping date came and I got a message that my order was delayed. They're saying it should ship within five business days, but I'm doubtful I'll receive it at this point, I've been down this road before.

EDIT 3: ...and they cancelled my order.

EDIT 4: Well, Amazon was previously only listing it from private sellers for hundreds of dollars, but now has it listed from Amazon at under twenty bucks...but it says temporarily out of stock. I put in an order, let's see what happens.

If you have Netflix, you can find Five Element Ninjas streaming in HD (I think at 720).

There's also quite a few other SB and Kung Fu flicks.
