Late night Kung Fu movies.

When I was around 12, during summer, I would stay up late just to watch late night cable movies. I had never really watch a "Kung Fu" style movie in it's entirety until I saw this movie. I was channel surfing and came upon the local NBC affiliate. They had started to show Kung Fu movies Monday through Friday at midnight.

I tuned in late so I never learned what the name of the movie was. But I remember the first thing I saw was the first confrontation with the water ninjas. I was hooked and watched the rest of the film. The movie was repeated on the weekend, but once again I didn't catch the name of the movie, plus the local tv guide didn't even have it listed.

I had somewhat forgotten about it, but many years later I saw some pictures of it online. it was too bad the site that had the pictures didn't say what movie they were taken from. So I just googled everything I could remember about this movie and found it. Finally I had the name. But I could not find it for sale anywhere I lived. couldn't even afford to buy it online if could. Of course I found other ways to obtain it.

When watching it again, I felt like that 12 year old kid. I even decided to watch it a midnight, in a dark room, like I did back then. I love this movie. I didn't care that they were fighting on sets and everything looked choreographed. There's nothing better than watching ninjas and the crazy moves they had.

I'm watching it now on El Rey Network, once again past midnight.
