saw this years ago,should be better known.


I saw this at the Edinburgh Film Festival back in the 1980s when it was worth going to,hope it gets better soon.
Anyway about the film,I remember it as being very good,unlike the SOPHIE SCHOLL film this film covers the background of the resistance group,several of them had fought on the eastern front and really objected to being told to support the war efforts by fat corrupt nazi officials who had never fired a shot.

The makers of the film introduced it at the festival and they mentioned that it had not been supported by the GOETHE institute (a government foundation that supports German culture)because it was a controversial subject.
If this is on dvd I would buy it but can't recall ever seeing it for sale.
