I buy alot of PBS concerts like this one and I remember this was a PBS "drive" special at one time. I enjoyed this concert/documentary very much. I own a copy of "WTAT" on laser disc but would love to see it on DVD. If anyone out there knows why we haven't seen this yet on DVD, or who we could write to.....please post. Thanks

shareThere's a new documentary, also directed by Jim Brown, called PETE SEEGER: THE POWER OF SONG, that is supposed to include some never-before-seen footage. Maybe what you're looking for is there.

shareI suspect that the earthstation "DVD" is probably a burned DVD-R. I normally frown on that, but WASN'T THAT A TIME is hardly available anywhere. The PBS pledge drive DVD was expensive ($150.00), and quickly went out of print.
The PBS version deleted the two-minute sequence in which we see several different artists performing "This Land is Your Land" around the world. The sequence was probably deleted due to music rights issues. It did appear in the older VHS and laserdisc releases of the film.
We really need a proper Blu-ray or DVD of the film to be more widely available, hopefully with the missing "This Land is Your Land" sequence included.
