Question about Abacrombie

I was wonderin if the name Abacrombie has any significance or is it simply a word Tim Burton used because it rhymes with zombie.
I've done a search on google and all that come up is clothes shops :S
Thanks to anyone who can help with my question.

If I recall correctly, Abercrombie the Zombie was a character on the 1960's cartoon, Milton the Monster. It would have been contemporary with Tim Burton's childhood, so I wouldn't be surprised if that was the genesis of the name.

But if you notice, Abercrombie was killed later in Vincent's hallucinations.
A reference to what Tim Burton does with dogs in his films; he kills them off.

I change shapes at will, but I still can't choose any which I really like!
