William Lustig

I wonder why he decided to stop making feature films, or is he doing them under a different name?

reply

He works as a distributor now. In the late 90's for Anchor Bay, and now for Blue Underground. It seems he's more into film preservation, then making new films.

I saw him at a Fangoria convention years ago explaining his new career and was quite impressed with his presentation. Just the same, I wondered why someone at the top of his game ( having a successful horror franchise is no easy accomplishment) would remove himself from all the action and devote himself to searching out the cult films of his peers and give them new life with prestige DVD re-releases. I thought it was actually pretty noble of him.
