When we see the MCP die at the end it's a very old guy using a typewriter. Seeing that all the programs show their users was the MCP just a chess program written on punch cards?

Dumont stated that a chess program was the humble beginnings of the MCP.

Also, Dumont named his program Dumont. He is the only user called out by the programs by name in the system.

No, the MCP said it enjoyed playing chess with Flynn in their conversation before Flynn was beamed into the micro world.

No, the user's name is Walter Gibbs, you can hear Dillinger mention his name when they're having a conversation in his office.
