Flynn and Bit and the Grid Bugs

This is a Disney movie first and foremost, but sometimes it just doesn't feel like it, if it's going to have scenes like the "execution" of Clu, complete with screaming crucified figure being de-rezzed. But then Disney will stick their trademark "humour" into the movie by having the shenanigans of Flynn trying to pilot the damaged Recognizer whilst having Bit badger him in the most annoying ways, complete with the worst CGI sequences in the whole movie... and then you have that Solar Sailer sequence with the so-called Grid Bugs as a viable threat, which just comes across as stupid.

Disney may be pioneers in new animation techniques (and they certainly were here, no doubt about it) but couldn't they just let the childish stuff go for one movie?
