Just watched it again after thirty years

I have to say the film still holds up, I vividly remember all the scenes from my first viewing in 1982. Sure the fx are primitive compared to today's, but Disney's strength was always in the writing, the characters' relationships to each other and to the theme and plot, and the strong storyline. You have to give the actors credit, I'm sure none of them knew what any of the dialogue meant at the time they uttered it, but it all comes together quite convincingly. It's an entertaining film steeped in that indefinable Disney magic. I wonder if I'll still like this movie in another thirty years.

I watched it yesterday with my two boys. They are 7 and 6 years old and they loved it. They were glued to the telly all the way through.

My 10 year old liked it. I saw it a few times when I was a kid (I was 3 when it came out), and it held up to my memories. I liked it a lot then, I liked it a lot this time around as well.
