If George Sanders had lived...

is it possible that Monsieur Ballon, along with his wife Dominique (Tracy Reed), cook Madame LaFarge (Vanda Godsell), and 3rd maid Simone (Moira Redmond) would have been interviewed in prison by Marie Jouvet? I'm asking this because I know that Madam Ballon accidentally shot Miguel Ostoss to death, Madame LaFarge cut gardener Georges Duval to death with shears, Simone strangled 1st maid Dudu to death, and Mssr. Ballon shot head butler Henri LaFarge in the spot where he would be petrified to death and be like a statue. Also, since he only blackmailed the Madam and I don't know if he would end up in prison and still be there in 1982, Maurice (Martin Benson) would be interviewed out of jail. I know that murder would make you end up in prison possibly for life, but I don't know how bad blackmailing was, especially in 1964 Paris. And last, but not least, the 2nd Chauffeur Pierre didn't kill or blackmail anyone so I don't think he would have ended up in prison.
Now, what I'm trying to say is, those 6 people couldn't have died in that car explosion. The Pink Panther series are cartoony and, because of that, explosions can't kill people. It didn't kill Clouseau, it didn't kill Cato (despite that he would always end up in the hospital), it didn't kill Dreyfus, it didn't kill Francois, and it even didn't kill Prof. Balls or his assistant Cunny (and inflatable goiters don't count as protection). And, like I may have said elsewhere, the reason why Claude Russo, the transvestite bank robber who switched clothes with Clouseau in Revenge of the Pink Panther, died is because he was gunned down before Cato's car crashed and exploded, like the coroner said, even though the coroner and everyone else thought it was Clouseau. So, if Cunny can survive an explosion, so can Mssr. Ballon. And I'm aware that they probably went to the hospital before, M. and M. Ballon, Maurice, Madam LaFarge, and Simone went to prison. I think if George Sanders didn't commit suicide, since Hercule LaJoy told Marie Jouvet to concentrate on the crooks Clouseau caught, they would have interviewed the remaining Ballon household staff. What do you all think?

I've always said that myself.

My take on this is that Col. Mustard did it with a candlestick in the library.

Kinky old sod!
