Being remade with Adam Sandler's production company Happy Madison

As much as I like Adam Sandler, I think that this is a horrible idea-stop remaking good films(Heres an idea, remake bad films from the past, at least you have something to build up and improve from). I don't think that anybody can top Richard Pryor, and if a actor thinks he can, good luck with that.

LOLOL Rob Schneider is going to be the Toy. LOLOL

Great another classic being unnecessarily remade.

I bet you they are going to dumb it down as well.

ah well, better warn my childhood that it's going to be raped again.

Lol, yeah Sandler's nickname should be either "Remake" or "Rerun"! The guy does the same thing in every movie he puts out. And even though I loved the 80's decade probably just as much as Sandler, c'mon dude it's time to let go and move on! Paying homage to that wonderful decade is fine and dandy for one or two films, but he's done it to death! If they do decide to remake this film, I'd suggest Chris Rock or Chris Tucker for Pryor's role. I think one of those two would possibly do it some justice.

in the pc world we live in they will probablr reverse the roles(little black kid buys adult white male as someone joked before probably rob schneider

It's all in the reflexes

Yeah, it is a horrible idea. Especially since this film in itself is a remake :))) From a french movie called "Le Jouet" with Pierre Richard. That one is the original and the best one!!!

Naaah, Pryor's/Gleason's film is the best. France doesn't have talent like those two fellas!!!

Year 2014 and still nothing

Well, if he remakes this bomb, at least make it better. But knowing Sandler and his attitude about films, it probably won't be any better.

This movie was terrible. It only has a 5.8 on imdb.
