This movie brings back memories of my childhood in Baton Rouge. The department store that he worked in was the downtown location of Gouchaux's (later called Maison Blanche). It was in the Guiness World Book's as the world's longest department store. I loved going to shop there and even bought my prom dress there. It's now a Technological Park. The gym where his friend is doing aerobics was called Spa Lady and was a women's only gym. I used to be a member there when I was in middle school. It's now a mental institution.

shadaif, any guesses where Jack's house was located? The industrial plant across the street makes me think it was on Scenic Hwy., but that's strictly a guess.

Haven't seen it in a while, but my guess would be Scenic Highway as well.
