Sandy is unlikeable

Over the years the character of Sandy has worn badly for me. Needy, self-obsessed, insecure, immature ...

Fun to look at and kind of sweet, but the kind of person in real life I'd find reasons not to spend too much time with.

Yes, and Michael fell into that trap by deciding to strip down and try on her outfits while she was in the shower. Then he used it as a guise that he "wanted her" when she found him in his undies.

That was quite a ballsy move, snooping into her closet that way. How long did he think she would be in the shower???

Comedy is full of inexplicable bad judgment. ;)

You are totally wrong. She is a necessary character as she is.

I didn't say she was unnecessary as is. I said I found her unlikeable. Two different things.

Countless unlikeable characters in literature and entertainment are "necessary as is". Doesn't make them someone you want to have over for Netflix and cookies.

I would have Sandy as a girlfriend anytime.

sounds like she really enraged you

Just watched the movie, she is so freaking annoying! On one hand I feel bad for her cause she's down on her luck, but honestly she was just not a likable character.

I bet you're wondering what a place like this is doing in a girl like me-The Mummy

Sandy might be unlikable, but Teri Gar was still hot back in the day.

7/10 — would still bang.

I felt she needed confidence. Her career was going nowhere, her life life was on the back burner and she barely knew anyone. It takes a till on anyone. I feel by the end she was stronger as she was in a play, her friendship with Michael was stronger and she could finally find a man to love her

Self-obsessed, insecure and immature? Those qualities sound pretty far-fetched for an actress.

Wasn't Sandy struggling?

She's the type that would stalk someone...

If she were too likeable, the relationship with Jessica Lange would make Michael look like a real dirtbag. So they tried to make hff er character seem likeable enough that you understand why Michael hangs around with her, yet unlikable enough that you dont hate him for chasing the tall hot blonde.

I dont know that they quite succeded.
