Copper
I saw this in the theater for the first time this previous weekend. I’ve seen it countless times before but this is the first time I’ve noticed that Copper had a nose ring.
Did anyone else catch that?

I own it streaming and just watched certain parts again, trying to see if the doctor had a nose ring and I do not see one.
I then looked it up on Google and sure enough, according to John Carpenter's Twitter, he had a nose ring!!
I just don't see how this is possible! I'm looking at him now in a frozen close up from the movie on my TV and there's nothing on his nose!
It’s crazy all the things that pop out at you watching it in the theater.
Another thing I had to laugh at was Child’s reaction to Macready shooting Clark. He honestly looks shocked afterward, partially because he knows that was almost him.

Lots of little small things like that really stood out on the big screen.
Yep. It's best visible in the "arms" scene reaction CU on his face. Pretty out of place on a professional man of his age, especially for the time, but when you're cooped up with a bunch of dudes for months at a time near the south pole, a few eccentricities can be expected, like a novelty-size sombrero...
shareHis last words
"Clear!"
"Arrrgghhh!!!"
A most righteous death for a doctor, died while trying to save a life.
It’s slightly weird that we don’t see him die. With your arms bitten off you’d be stumbling about for an hour at least before you bled out, and with people there to bandage him up it’s kind of implausible. Frankly I’d want a mercy killing if I’d lost my arms like that. Hideous fate, but yeah, the film strangely forgets about him.
shareI have never picked up on in while watching the movie, but have seen it in pics. It's pretty tiny/thin.
shareRewatched this once again a couple of days ago and did not even notice it.
shareJust watching it and your right. That makes no sense though. When in a subzero environment you don't wear metal close to the skin. It acts as a conduit for frostbite.
shareYes of course I noticed because its so odd.
shareI didn't notice it for years.
I think I first noticed it when I watched it in 4K on my 55 inch television.
