X rating

It was released with an "R" rating in the U.S., under the title "Unsane." It was never released with an "X" nor should it have that rating on here, as it wasn't accepted. They did get that on first submission. Bedford Entertainment removed approximately 30 seconds of blood, most of it in the "axe spray painting" scene and the demise of the murderer, for the "R." Bedford cut 11 minutes altogether for the American release, making trims literally all over the place. I suppose they took Peter's comment to heart that "if you cut out the boring bits and keep the rest, you got a bestseller."
