I have all the movie channels on Directv and have had them almost 2 yrs. I have not even noticed Tag the Assassination Game even being on. Has anyone seen it on tv recently?

Thanks

You have not found it on television because it has literally not been aired since approximately 1983 when it was broadcast on HBO and Cinemax. Nobody has paid for the rights to air this film. There are licensing complications because AVCO/EMBASSY (the original distributor) is defunct. Also, the fact that the film is nearly 30 years old and apears to be dated does not help its overall appeal. Today's B-films are mand to appear flashy, gritty, and essentially simple. They tend to alternate from B/W to color and use quick cutaways with flashy sequences. Its not a style I'm particularly fond of but its the new way of doing things on a B-budget story like this. Your best bet is to locate an original AVCO/EMBASSY VHS cassette in good working condition and take care of it.

Did this movie air on TBS Superstation as a presentation on Night Flicks after Night Tracks with Frazer Smith who was in it sometime around 1989 or 1990?

I definitely taped this from tv/cable ... not sure exactly when, best guess would be around 1992 or so. I think it was on TBS as stated above. Haven't seen it on tv since but still have my vhs copy :-)

The movie has not aired on cable since the '80s or possibly as late as 1991. It was commonly aired 1983-85 and not much if at all thereafter. It has largely been abandoned by the current owner, an international company, which owns the rights to way too many hits to be bothered with it.
