Honestly, what is so bad about this film?

I know every film will always have those few defenders, but I really don't get the hate on this movie. Believe me, I can love some bad movies, but I know they are bad and I will admit they are bad but that I just love um anyhow.

I don't see what is bad about this film, especially considering the time it came out and the various other similar films of the time which have much better reviews and ratings.

I don't know, I think it's a really neat story, all kinds of cool stuff in it, I liked it as a kid, showed it to my nieces nephews, they like it too.
