Does anyone know if this new DVD will have the Adrienne Barbeau topless scene or is it just going to be the same version that was in the theaters?

reply

Have you seen the cover?? It was obviously inspired by Sin City's... MGM did the same thing for Puss In Boots, taking on Shrek 2's popularity.

The dvd is already out here in Greece and is a bargain too! A mere 6.5 euros!(about $7!). I'll be buying it next week once I'm back from my holiday.

The new release of the DVD still carries the PG rating and the 91 minute running time, so it looks as if it won't be the International version with the nudity that MGM accidently used on the previous DVD. (Most references to the risque footage only talk about Adrienne Barbeau's bathing scene, but there is also topless footage of girls entertaining at Louis Jordan's party in the longer cut.) I was lucky enough to pick up the initial DVD release of SWAMP THING before the error was found and the copies recalled. I don't understand why MGM simply didn't/doesn't release the full cut of the film and upgrade the rating.

Your right. What's the problem? You can't tell me there isn't a market for an unrated version. I have it but can only play it on my computer and Barbeau looks great!
