Creeped me out...

You know, I can't hardly remember what happened in this movie, I only remember seeing it when I was a little boy in the 80's, but I always remeber that this movie creeped me out... Again, not sure why, but I just have "creepy" memories of this movie as a child...

One word....pigman.

The parst that creeped me out where...*spoilers*

Cable getting drowned,
That one soldier mutating,
And Arcane becoming the stone coccoon, then the boar beast.

reply

I found the scene where Arcane transformed into the monster to be very sexy, the idea of an evil person transforming into a powerful monster sexually excites me.

Cable getting drowned

I re-watched the movie last night for the first time in years and had forgotten that Swamp Thing doesn’t get to her quickly. That scene definitely gave me the willies.

creeped me out big time as a kid!

Don't forget Swamp Thing regenerating his arm. Creepy!!

reply

Swamp Things arm was kinda perverted, Bruno mutating was a sad scene to me, I felt bad for him screaming for help.

Wayne Enterprises buys and sells companies like Stark Industries

Me too,I was about 5 or 6 when I first saw it. It gave me that weird/good/funny feeling. I would absolutely buy the movie if I came across it though!!!!

co-signed on the creepy factor...the swamp didn't help matters!

The scene that creeped me out -- and disturbed me -- was the brief one where Swamp Thing kills a guy by squeezing his head, as much blood drips out of his mouth. Anyone else remember this scene?

Same here. I think what set the tone for me was Arcane’s henchmen restraining the man while he got bitten by the snake. That really freaked me out. From then on, I think just the swamp setting in general made me feel uneasy.

The guy being restrained and forced to get bit by the snake creeped me out as a young kid. I remember Swamp Thing used to come on a lot in the early 80's and I kept seeing that scene when it would come on, the rest of the movie was kind of creepy with the dim swamp setting. I remember a movie in the early 80's they kept showing on HBO with a cannibal/cannibal creature they kept in a underground box/dungeon and they fed it bloody meat which creeped me out. Who could forget the video tape monster short film they would show on HBO that chased and digested that guy and of course Creepshow, all stuff that played a lot at night on HBO and would creep out a 5 or 6 year old in the early 80's.

I saw the film on TV as a child and found a lot of the scenes so creepy as to burn into my memory for decades to come, such as Ferret getting crushed, Bruno transforming, Arcane transforming, and the fight in the swamp.
