Albert Salmi

Mr. Salami (as I call him) surely must be one of THE most Cultest of Cult actors.
Look at the guy's credits- from classics like 'The Twilight Zone', 'Lost in Space' right up to 'Empire of the Ants' and 'Superstition'.
He reminds me of Joan Crawford. Her acting standard was the same in 'Mildred Pierce' (a pivotal role on which the rest of her career balanced) as it was in 'Trog' (if you haven't seen it, DO!) and I've never seen Albert Salmi 'phone in a performance'...check out the Twilight Zone episode 'Execution' when he jettisons himself out of the 'phone booth ! I'd like to see Colin Farrell do that...in fact I'd like to see his stuntman try it ! I suppose they were both 'Old Pro's' and part of a now extinct breed.
What a varied career ! Thank you, Space Captain Alonzo P. Tucker...and watch out for the Ants...

It was kinda sad to see him make a crappy movie like this. I really enjoyed him as an actor. He always played an excellent bad guy. He was in an Alfred Hitchcock episode that really affected me as a child. And that episode of the Twilight Zone where he plays a despicable millionaire is one of my all time favorites (of course, Julie Newmar in a form fitting Devil outfit certainly helped)

'Of Late, I think of Cliffordville' was the TZ episode. He was also in 'Execution' where he does that great stunt of launching himself out of the telephone booth.

Albert Salmi (1928–1990) was pretty good in the LOST IN SPACE episodes he appeared in.

Very handsome and hunky at that age. Reminds me of a handsome boss I worked for at the plastics factory named, Randy. Handsome face, jovial personality, good man.

Albert Salmi put a lot of quality acting plus a bit of his enjoyable personality in every role he had.
