A Stranger Is Watching 1982

I saw this movie. It is really quite actually good . Also scary. So dramatic too.

Yeah, I saw this when I was in third grade back in 1985 and it really scared me then. It really increased my fears of being kidnapped. Believe it or not, even when riding with my dad, I would have to keep rubbing my eyes to see that it really was my dad (I was a stupid kid), but hey, it was scary.

I bought the dvd and watched it last night. I hadn't seen it since I was 12 or so. Not bad.

I'll give him 20 more minutes-and that's it!- Airplane!

I was also around 12 when I saw this on cable Tv and I remeber it being very scary.

A questions for the grown-ups who occasionally visit this site: Were you scared by this film? I sure wasn't.

reply

I certainly was. I saw this when I was eight but watched it again last night and really made me feel timid.

Thank you for responding to this old thread, which allowed the movie to appear in the "trending" line-up. I had been trying to remember the name of this film for years. I saw it on either HBO or Showtime back in the early 1980s, and I really enjoyed it with its setting in the grimy underground of the subway system.

It made an impact on me in that it made afraid of being kidnapped. That is something I worried about a lot after I saw this on a local television station back in early '85. I was only eight years old when I first saw this and mind you, this was a time when there were long strings of kidnappings -- children going missing and never being seen again. This film really went there.

I liked it as well, nothing great but it has its moments.
