The dream

I like this film and find it very sexy - even though I don't know why. I think it's because Meryl is a bit sexy and breathless (although the massage scene is a bit unsubtle).

I don't get the dream though. I understand that the bird is above the desk at the auction house, the hidden staircase & the kid from the photo from the beach house and 'green backs' but don't understand where the blood from the eye of the teddy comes from. I take it that George must have been to the beach house and realised that 'greenbacks' was trying to kill him, but the bleeding eye is a mystery to me which is very vexing.

Just watched it on TCM and realised it's quite crap really- Meryl is a bit of a bimbo but would like to know about the bleeding eye!

I took it to mean that subconsciously Bynum was afraid of Gail.

It was quite a scary dream scene! Surely the best thing about the movie.
