Stick with TOS

Yes, this was probably the best of all the Star Trek movies, but that isn't saying much compared to TOS. Yes, it had the original cast, however they were older, not wiser. I just thought the script was lacking and the special effects too Star Warsy. Plus Spock "dies" (even though he comes back to life....never quite got that). And I just don't like the soap opera-type dialogue ("I'm so proud you're my father", etc.) As for Khan, the end of Space Seed pretty much wrapped it up: he was put on the planet and no one gave it a 2nd thought, including Khan who quoted Milton. So why TF was he mad after he'd already accepted his fate? The dialogue says Khan expected "to be checked on" like he was a two year old; isn't that a little out of character for such a Fascist warrior? I guess that was the unaired TOS episode: Star Date 1333.3 the mission across the galaxy to check on Khan's progress. Sure it's 5 years out of our way, but we need to go in person and check since our radio is broken.
