Did Khan die believing he got his revenge on Kirk?

It seems like he died or passed out before the ship blew up.

Khan won and Kirk lost.

Kirk finally got his revenge. And Kirk lost his best friend.

Not in my canon, Khan sees the Enterprise warp away and he dies screaming

Yes, and I felt a scene of his smile fading as he sees the warp drive kick in should have been added.

Agree. I watched that last scene specifically to see if Khan realized that his plan for revenge on Kirk was thwarted. I'm surprised and a bit disappointed they didn't show that.
