At one point when they're in the car together, Sam Fuller asks the director why he works in black and white, rather than in colour. He replies something like "Colour is more life-like, but black and white is more realistic"
Does anyone remember the exact wording?

I remember it as "Life is in colour but reality is in black and white" - but my memory has let me down more than once in the past. However, I have just ordered the film from amazon.de so I'll check it out
