Saw it last night...

I started off by disliking Meryl Streep. Oh look at her I would say to noone in particular sitting smiling her corny grandmotherly smile in the audience of award shows. Then I saw Devil Wears Prada and said whatever. Then I saw Doubt, I became a fan, then I saw August Osage County and nearly every film by her and loved it. I saved Sophie's Choice for 7th April midnight to begin...this means last night.

OH MY GOD! She is excellent in this film. I also enjoyed the straight faced man from Ally McBeal. Kevin Kline was so believable and I can tell you I know so many men who remind me of him and actually suffer from paranoia and anxiety.

At 2 hours 30 minutes, even in 2015, the film seems to justify it's length. The filming and camerawork is beautiful. Not one second was boring. Streep is so good, you would think she is directing the film along side the director.

Come in she said I'll give you shelter from the storm.
