How old was Sophie supposed to be in this movie?
The movie takes place for the most part in the late 40's yet in the late 30's she has a daughter that is maybe 9? So the character of Sophie is in her early 40's when she dies??
shareFrom what I recall her daughter was 6 and her son was 8. She said she got married very young so she was probably around 28 when she was in Auschwitz. At the end of the movie she says she's beyond 30 years so I guess she's in her early thirties considering the time frame of the story :)
